I was very disappointed for the collections this season. I stopped expecting from Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel since after 2010, but some works like this one from Spring 2014 make me feel Chanel’s truest essence again.
To see Raf Simons’ Christian Dior fail; however, is a different story. Dior has been executing collection after collection of ethereal genius since 2012 and to see his work go from this

is just sad. John Galliano’s debut collection as the new creative director for Maison Martin Margiela is also not at par with his work as the creative director of Christian Dior back in 2008.
To see Valentino take a step back from last season’s beauty did not help me cope with the Dior disaster.
Valentino presented a number of good pieces this season though.
